Congratulations 6th Grade!

Submitted by angela.killian on

Congratulations to the Mt. Loafer 6th graders.  I imagine you are excited at graduating from elementary school, a little scared of going to jr. high, sad about saying good-bye to some friends and teachers, and anticipating an eventful summer.

In your life may you have people who will listen and spend time with you, encourage you and believe in you.  May you embrace growth and excellence, may you be generous, may you say thank you often.  May you go forth and do wonderful things.

The students and faculty at Mt. Loafer Elementary would like to thank Mr. George Brinkerhoff.  Mr. Brinkerhoff was a special guest at the Ken Garff Assembly.  He has written several children's books and donated a copy of his latest book, Plum, to the Mt. Loafer library.  Some of the illustrations were done by children at Mount Loafer and some of the characters are people that he has worked with at the school.

PTA Field Day

The highlight of the year for many kids in elementary school is the end of the year field day. This consists of games, events and competitions that everyone can participate and enjoy.

Mt. Loafer PTA planned a super day.  Students used their summer survivial skills at each rotation; bear wrestling (martial arts), knot tying (giant twister), find the lost camper, beat the heat obstacle course, camping relay, and mental toughness.  Thank you, PTA, for the great day!
