Once upon a time each spring, the first grade students study fairy tales. During the unit they learn about the elements that make a fairy tale, they compare and contrast popular fairy tales, learn of characters and morals, create puppets and retell the fairy tales through song and voice to the parents. The students really enjoy it and...they live happily ever after.
The fourth grades students and their parents had a fun-filled evening dancing to old time pioneer dances! This night was a special occasion for the students to share with their parents all the fun dances and songs they have learned this year. The students dressed up in western attire and stomped around the gym, showing off their fancy footwork! The fourth grade teachers want to thank the parents who came and supported this activity!
