First Grade Holiday Fun

Submitted by kyle.staheli on

The first grade traveled around the world this month to learn about other customs and cultures. Mexico was their last stop and so they got to celebrate with a Pinata!

Also they had a Polar Express day just before Christmas break. The kids came in jammies and got a ticket to board the train where elves served them hot chocolate. While watching the movie they recieved a mysterious box from the North Pole. Inside was a bell necklace and a personalized letter from Santa for each kid. It was a magical fun day!

Third grade has been learning about police officers and K-9 units. Officer Grover from Spanish Fork police department came to teach them more about how he and his dog work together as a team. The students loved seeing this first hand. Thanks Officer Grover!

Santa Letters: After the 6th grade helpers helped us with our Santa letters. We sent the letters to the North Pole. They came back frozen and very very cold.

12 Days of Christmas: They enjoyed the 12 days of Christmas in stories. Thank you all parents who came and shared them.

6th Grade Buddies: Their 6th grade buddies are great authors. Their Christmas stories were amazing. Thanks for sharing them.

Hello Students and Families -

My name is Kylee Dixon and I am thrilled to be the newest faculty member and 4th grade teacher here at Mount Loafer. I grew up in Mapleton Utah, and I just graduated from Utah State University (Go Aggies!) with a double degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and I love what I get to do everyday.

These eight 4th grade students have been chosen to represent Mt. Loafer at  the 4th grade keyboarding competition qualifiers. If you see them, be sure to wish them good luck! Don't mind the picture either, they were all saying "I love keyboarding"!

Holiday Traditions

Submitted by kyle.staheli on

In Mrs. Wilson class, they talk about different holiday traditions. The first week of December they talked about Hanukkah. Next they talked about the Hispanic tradition of Las Posadas, topping off the week with a piñata. You can see this event in the few clips. Of course, this week they have talked about Christmas.
