Mt. Loafer Weekly Parent Newsletter 5/20/2019

Thank you to the DWR and all the volunteers for putting on this great event! About 1,500 kids with special needs had the opportunity to go fishing at Salem Pond this week. Many of our own Mt. Loafer Grizzlies got to attend. Take a look:

Backpack Club Food Drive: We have an awesome opportunity to help some of our own Nebo School District Students who may not have access to food on the weekends after they leave the school. On May 16 & 17 we will be collecting food items to take to a local Junior High school to help stock their “backpack club”. This is an optional service opportunity for our students If you would like to participate.

Registration for this great camp opens Tuesday, May 7. There are limited spots available, so don't waste time and sign-up now by clicking on the link in the attached flyer.

*Woodland Hills Drive Closure: Beginning May 6th, Woodland Hills Drive will be closed off to bring all of the utilities across Woodland Hills Drive to the new Valley View Middle School, this will mean traffic will be rerouted around and through various areas. I wanted to make you all aware that traffic may increase around our school while the road is closed, as well, short delays could be possible compared to current drive times. Our Transportation Department has been made aware but I wanted our patrons to know about this also.
