We had such a great first week of school and I could not be more proud of the way these little Grizzlies handled all the new rules and regulations regarding face to face learning. They mastered the outdoor picnics, mask wearing, hand washing and walking down the hallways traveling on the right hand side all with ease! I was so proud of them and continue to be every single day we are faced with new obstacles and challenges. Wish us luck today as we hold our first fire drill of the year!

Kindergarten Begins Wednesday, August 26th: We are excited to have our new Kindergarten students begin Wednesday, August 26th! Our teachers will be ready to greet them as they arrive. Please note that Morning Kindergarten begins at 9:00 and ends at 11:15am. Afternoon Kindergarten begins at 12:15 and ends at 2:30pm.

Mt. Loafer Schedule: Just a reminder that school begins at 9:00am each day and ends at 2:30pm. If your children walk or you drop them off, please have them come no earlier than 8:30am. It will help us with student supervision and social distancing. Thank you!

Pick up and Drop Off: We have had some problems with parents parking in the pick up/drop off area. We ask you to please not park in this area before or after school. If you need to get out of your car for any reason we kindly ask you to park in a marked parking stall and come in to the school. If there is an empty space in front of you while you are waiting to pick up or drop off your students we also ask that you continue to pull forward, filling the void in space. Please note that the pick up/drop off lane is a single deep lane. The other portion of this lane is for a pull-through only. Do not stop or park in the pull through lane. We want to practice safety as we release students, so please avoid waiting in the pull through lane as we don't want students to walk through parked and pull through cars to get to a ride. Additionally, we want the pull through lane to remain clear for moving vehicles so we do not back up into the street more than necessary.

Please do not use the bus lane for pick up or drop off. This lane is designated for buses only, no matter the time of day.

Many parents choose to park on the West side of 250 W. If you wish for your child to meet you after school and you park on this side you will need to walk across the street to pick up your child. We do not have crossing guards to cross the road, rather we patrol the pickup/drop off lane and Salem City patrols Salem Canal Road. We cannot allow students to cross without a crossing guard!

Thank you for your help in keeping our students safe in this particular area before and after school.
