Third Grade Milestone Walk

Submitted by angela.killian on

A milestone was originally a stone posted a mile from a similar post.  It was a way for travelers to mark off their progress.  The third grade students have been learning that the significant events in their lives are also milestones.  On Thursday, September 8th, Miss Andrews, Mr. Bradley, and Miss Dolman took their students on a mile walk to the Salem Pond.  They stopped at different points along their walk and discussed some of the important events they will share together in third grade: cursive handwriting, learning multiplication facts, participating in a Grandparents Day Program, and competing in the Hershey Track and Field competition are a few of the significant events that will occur in their lives this year.
