Do your students love expressing their holiday spirit? Well you’re in LUCK! On Friday, December 14thwe will be having our Mind Builders Recognition assembly along with our annual school wide Christmas sing-a-long. We want to invite all students to deck the halls or at least sport their Christmas spirit this day. You are welcome to have them wear festive holiday socks, sweaters/shirts, hats/headbands and accessories of any school appropriate nature to share in the Holiday Fun! Our teachers and staff will be dressing right up as well!

Christmas Movie- On December 19th our school will be taking buses to Stadium Cinemas in Payson where we will viewing the NEW Grinch movie. This is our Christmas gift to all students. If your choose to keep your student home during this day and event please call the office and excuse them. This will help us track both accurate attendance as well as give us an accurate count for the movie theater.

Do you shop Amazon frequently and want to help out Mt. Loafer Elementary? Next time you order online (sorry app users, it works on browsers best!) simply type smile.amazon.com and follow the instructions to choose Mt. Loafer Elementary as a recipient for donated monies. Simple. Easy. Helps Kids! What a Win!

Please help your children dress appropriately for the weather. When it is 20 degrees or above, students are expected to go outside for recess. Please write your children’s names in their coats and jackets—this really helps with lost clothing. You may also want to visit the lost and found bucket in the front entry way this week. All items left will be donated at the start of the Christmas Break. Thank you.

We would also like to ask you to remind our students that although it is fun, we do not slide on the hill during school hours. We reserve ONE day out of the year to sled at Mt. Loafer and other than that we ask students to stay off the hill as well as any snow mounds that may be plowed on our playground. This is for the safety of the students. Also remind them that we do not throw snow and ice at school. We have already had a few minor injuries from careless behaviors. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT in reminding the kids of our “snow rules!”
