Parents, As we approach the end of the school year, I am excited to make you aware of a free summer program for pre-Kindergarten students called Upstart. Upstart is a free, technology-delivered kindergarten readiness program that will give your child a fun start in reading, math, and science (with a focus on reading) in just 15 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I invite you to look at the attachment for details. Feel free to forward this to any family you know with a child who will be starting kindergarten in the next year or two. Thank you and have a wonderful summer!
The Mt. Loafer/Salem Orchestra did a fantastic job in their spring concert! These students have worked so hard to develope their skills. Hours and hours of practice each week. They meet at 8:00 serveral times a week to work hard and blend their beautiful sound together. Make sure to sign your students up for next year!
The 3rd grade is so grateful that they could attend the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. This is was all made possible by two companies. First we like to thank Thanksgiving Point for giving us a scholarship to get into the Tulip Festival. Second, we would like to give a huge shout out to Jimmy John's. They are a wonderful local comapny that not only donated the money to pay for buses to Thanksgiving point, but also provided us with a great lunch for all who went. The students had a great time seeing some of the wonderful sites, and also the scavanger hunt.
Congratulations to the following students selected as April's Super Learners of the Month! These Students were chosen because of their excellent academic and citizenship performance in our ten Focused Learning Skill areas. We appreciate each of you demonstrating your super powers at Mt. Loafer.

THANK YOU THANK YOU to those amazing Grizzly families who have already donated to our school fundraiser! As a reminder, we will continue our Fundraiser through next week. Please feel free to send your envelope back to school with your student(s), bring it in to the office or come in and pay with a card if that works best for you! We appreciate your support and look forward to having new technology in the classrooms and hands of our students and teachers over this next year!
Thanks to Josh Dalton for choosing Mt. Loafer to be the recipient of his Eagle Scout Project.
For Josh's project he repainted the backboards white, outlined the red box, and hung chains on each hoop.
Josh also surprised our students and classrooms with basketballs to play on our refreshed hoops!
THANKS Josh and Congratulations on completing your Eagle Scout Project!
