Our Grizzlies capped off the first week of school with a "SUPER" assembly where we got to know our faculty and staff, met a few Superheroes AND learned all about our theme this school year. Each and every student at Mt. Loafer has the ability to be a Super Learner and tap into their own superpowers and this year we are going to teach them how to do just that! Our theme this year is "I learn. What's your Superpower?". We have identified ten Focused Learning Skills in which each student will strive to put into practice every day here at school:

Raising the flag on a new school year

Submitted by sarah.blackhurst on

Our students and faculty had the honor and privilege of rasing the flag on a new school year at Mt. Loafer Elementary. Our fabulous student council officers presented the flag and the meaning of it's symbols to our school. The students and teachers were able to participate in reciting the pledge and singing the national anthem as a whole school while Mr. Robert's our amazing custodian helped raise the flag as a symbol of new beginnings and unity.

What a wonderful way to start the year! We feel so lucky to be Mt. Loafer Grizzlies!
