Mrs. Michelle Mecham, second grade teacher, was recognized by her colleagues as an outstanding educator who touches the lives of students, parents, and other teachers.

Mrs. Mecham was born...well let's just say she saw the first moon landing.  She was raised by her grandmother, Stella Davis, in Salem.  She went to high school at Spanish Fork High where she played basketball and broke hearts along the way.  After high school she worked at KFC and coached basketball at Payson High School.

She married her husband, Frank Mecham, and they have been happily married for 22 years.  She has two children, McCord and Josh, and a cat named Simba.

She went to college at Brigham Young University where she studied elementary education.  She has been teaching at Mt. Loafer for 16 years. While teaching she has earned her reading endorsement, reading specialist certification, and math endorsement.

She likes spending time with her grandkids in the summer and reading.  She especially enjoys teaching and being with her students.  She is an accomplished teacher with many accolades behind her name.

Mrs. Mecham is a great teacher, mother, wife and friend.  We love and appreciate everything she does.  She is very humble and very deserving of receiving this year's Crystal Apple Award.  Congratulations Mrs. Mecham!
