We Love You, Mrs. Rudd

Mt. Loafer is preparing to say good-bye to our wonderful principal, Mrs. Alicia Rudd.

Mrs. Rudd is first and foremost an instructional leader.  She has taken very seriously her role in working with instructional coaches and our teachers to remove barriers and provide needed support to enhance classroom instruction.  She strives to provide a support system for the teachers.

Most schools today have very limited budgets, making it difficult to pay for innovative new programs.  When Mrs. Rudd finds a new program she thinks will benefit our students, she doesn't waste time lamenting the lack of funding. She gets busy. She immediately begins thinking of who in the school and community she can ask to help support and build the program.

Mrs. Rudd understands the strengths and needs of our students and she knows what is happening in the classrooms at our school. She plays an active role in planning and supporting instruction that is appropriate for our students, and she ensures that school time and resources are focused on student achievement.

A great school community is one where students feel safe and know they will be treated fairly. Mrs. Rudd has created that safe atmosphere where our children can learn.

Her strengths are the very reason why she has been asked to move to Brookside Elementary in Springville.  There have been a lot of tears shed because we realize how much we are going to miss you, Mrs. Rudd.  We love you!!!
