Hey Families! Our teachers are working hard getting ready to serve you and teach you online starting Wednesday! In response to your survey we know there is a need for some students to checkout a Chromebook to use while we are in dismissal and students are learning virtually alongside us. We realize you cannot begin your new learning management system and online learning without a device so WE ARE HERE TO HELP and we have devices for you to check out for your students.
Just a reminder for those who are interested in having school lunch, to please call the school between 8:00-9:00 to give us the number of lunches you will need for your students (801) 423-2705. Also, we have the ability to serve students at a school that they don’t attend. This means that if you have children in secondary schools, you will now be able to pick up meals for all your students at one school.
State issues clarification on K-12 dismissal
SALT LAKE CITY (March 14, 2020) - At a news conference yesterday afternoon, Gov. Gary R. Herbert mentioned that during public school’s two-week dismissal, parents who are unable to be home with children will have the option to bring them to school to be supervised by teachers. This is not the case.
Congratulations to Chesni Clawson on being recognized as the Student of the Week in the Daily Herald.
Chesni is on the Mt. Loafer Elementary student council where she leads the school each day during the morning announcements. She welcomes and starts assemblies for the school and serves her peers daily. She is also active in her church and provides much service there.
UPDATE: Due to recent events, we have chosen to POSTPONE the 4th Grade Hoedown. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Please watch for further communication from the fourth grade teachers about rescheduling. Thank you!
Parents and students of fourth grade, get ready to kick up your boots and come celebrate a night of country with your teachers! Thursday, March 12th is our Hoedown and we can't wait to see you here!
If you need more information please contact your child's classroom teacher.
