Mt. Loafer Healthy Classroom Challenge

This generation of students faces extraordinary health issues related to diet and exercise. Healthy students are better learners. As a result, the Nebo School District Student Wellness Policy, passed in 2008, created some guidelines for when foods and beverages are made available to students. The policy asks that the food and beverages be more nutritious and feature healthy choices. See: http://www.nebo.edu/pubpolicy/E/EFA.pdf

Here are some suggestions how parents can assist in helping out schools adopt healthier practices:

Fall Festival

Color your world with reading by attending the annual Mt. Loafer Fall Festival.  The festival will be held Thursday, September 15th, 5:00 pm to dark.  The cost is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family up to eight members in a family. There will be activities for all ages: inflatables, games, activities, dinner, and treats.  Book baskets will be available for bidding.  Each basket is themed by the book.  The festival is sponsored by the PTA and it is the only fundraiser of the year.  Mt.

Mt. Loafer had a fantastic yo-yo assembly teaching students about NED which means Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best!
