It was a fun day to come to school on Wednesday, when the PTO sponsored Pastries and Parents!  Many parents came with their children to read and to have a doughnut.  We appreciate the support Mt. Loafer parents give to our students and we want to give a big thanks to our great PTO!

Once upon a time each spring, the first grade students study fairy tales. During the unit they learn about the elements that make a fairy tale, they compare and contrast popular fairy tales, learn of characters and morals, create puppets and retell the fairy tales through song and voice to the parents.  The students really enjoy it and...they live happily ever after.
