Mid-Year Trustland Summary

Submitted by angela.killian on

Dear Parents,

Each year, schools are required to give a mid-year summary of the School Community Councils activities each month.  Here is a brief summary:

September – introductions and responsibilities of the School Community Council reviewed.

October – reviewed the School Improvement Plan for this year.  Every classroom now is equipped with a mounted ceiling projector, a document camera and audio enhancement system.

November – discussed the use of Trustland funds and reviewed the CRT scores in Language Arts, Math and Science.

December – area School Community Council meeting with school board members at Salem Hills High School library.

February – continued work on the School Improvement Plan.  Read over the rough draft and discuss any needed changes.

March – work toward approval of the School Improvement Plan and Trustland Plan for the 2012 - 2013 school year, and Safe Walking Route Plan.  Participation signature pages signed by School Community Council members.

April – final approval of School Improvement Plan, Trustland Plan, Safe Walking Route Plan, and Wellness Plan.

May– letters will be sent to legislatures and local/state school board members to thank them for our Trustland funds for our school.

For a more detailed explanation of the School Community Councils meetings, please contact Mrs. Killian.

Thank You.
