Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is October 10th - 14th.  The goal of Red Ribbon Week is to provide an opportunity for students and teachers to talk about some of the dangers and risks that are involved with experimentation and prolonged use of drugs and alcohol. 

Here are the activities that are planned for the week:

  • Monday, October 10th- "Born to be Drug Free."  Students will bring a baby picture from home to help create a grade level poster.
  • Tuesday, October 11th-"Follow your dreams, don't do drugs!"  Wear PJ's.
  • Wednesday, October 12th-Student wear RED today.  Parents and Pastries from 8:00-9:00 a.m.  K-9 Assembly at 1:00.
  • Thursday, October 13th-"Give Drugs the Slip"-Students wear slippers to school.  At the end of the day each student will receive a red plate to take home to remind families that kids are 33% less likely to get involved with drugs and alcohol if families eat dinner regularly together.
  • Friday, October 14th-"Stay in the game, Live a Drug Free Life"-Wear sports apparel.
