First Grade Read-a-Thon

Submitted by angela.killian on

Mt. Loafer Elementary's first grade students are joyous about reading.  Our first grade teachers, Mrs. Bradley, Mrs. Grover, and Mrs. Olsen have emphasized all year the important link between reading and learning.

The students have worked hard this year to become fluent readers.  To celebrate their hard work, the teachers hosted the annual first grade read-a-thon on Wednesday, May 9th.  The children brought sleeping bags, bean bag chairs, pillows, and blankets, to lay on while reading.  Each child also brought their own books.
