Parent Newsletter 8/16/19
WELCOME BACK GRIZZLIES and Thank you for attending Open House today! Our teachers are just as excited as our little Grizzlies to roll out the Red Carpet the first day of school, next Monday August 19th. Our first bell rings at 8:55am with our tardy bell ringing at 9:00am. Whether new or returning to the school I want to tell our Grizzlies how excited I am to have them join us this year! On Monday morning we will be rolling out the red carpet for our students to welcome them as VIP's. This year Mt. Loafer Students are all a "STAR". Our students will spend the year focusing on the skills to be a STAR by Staying Focused, Trying their best, Acting Responsibly and Respecting Others. Please watch for this reoccurring theme throughout our school as we show each other why we are VIP's.
For those new to Mt. Loafer, this will be the platform you will find the most up to date and current school wide happenings. I will do my best to update and send out a link to our weekly parent newsletter before each Monday morning. As always, check your correspondence from your individual teachers as well. Often times they have more in depth information regarding classroom and grade level specific activities and events.

FREE/REDUCED LUNCH
Applications for free/reduced school lunch must be completed online. To apply for free or reduced lunch visit the Nebo District - Parent Home Page https://www.nebo.edu/parents and click on “Free & Reduced Lunch Information”. Please do this as soon as possible so your student can receive free/reduced lunch on the first day.
AIR QUALITY
Nebo School District will be using a new website called PurpleAirto monitor airquality. ( https://www.purpleair.com/map#10/40.0699/-111.6426 ) Unlike the website we used to use, PurpleAirhas sensors in several communities in our district so the data is accurate and live. As always, if your student requires accommodations above those of the monitoring of air quality please contact his/her teacher or the front office (801) 423-2705 so we can assist you.
