Once upon a time each spring, the first grade students study fairy tales. During the unit they learn about the elements that make a fairy tale, they compare and contrast popular fairy tales, learn of characters and morals, create puppets and retell the fairy tales through song and voice to the parents.  The students really enjoy it and...they live happily ever after.
