Honoring All Who Serve

The signing of the World War I Armistice took place in a railway coach near the battle zone in France. The bugles sounded cease fire and the hostilities ended, marking a most significant moment in world history.

While Veterans Day is primarily a tribute to Americaʼs living veterans, and is typically observed more as a celebration than as a somber remembrance (Memorial Day), it is always appropriate to include a moment of respect for those who gave their lives for our country.

Hats Off to Our Heroes!

This week, students had the opportunity to celebrate Veteran's Day.  In honor of our heroes, the students were invited to wear hats to say, “Hats Off to Our Heroes!”  The students also had a bulletin board where they could write the name of their hero and tell why that person is special to them!  Thanks to all those heroes in our lives!

Loafer had a Happy, Haunting, Halloween!  A full moon must have turned our ordinary students into creepy creatures, scary skeletons, weird witches, vivacious vampires, marvelous minions, and delightful Duck Dynasty Characters!  This Halloween Holiday began with a petrifying parade, where the students showed off their crafty costumes!  At lunch time, two wacky witches served the students a cup of witches' brew!  Then all the classrooms gathered for parties to celebrate this haunting holiday!  HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
