Parents and pastries are a favorite Book Fair activity at Mt. Loafer, and today was just another practically perfect parent pastry event!  Thank You PTO for working so very hard to help reading to be such a treat for our children!  We love how your effort encourages children's learning and bring so many smiles to faces!

Book Fair NERD Day Fun

Submitted by jodi.mckee on

Did you know that Dr. Seuss invented the word NERD?   It was the name of a creature in the book, “If I Ran the Zoo”.  To quote Dr. Suess’ book, Mr. Grew would collect "a Nerkle, a Nerd, and a Seersucker too" for his imaginary zoo.  In honor our last beloved book fair for the year and in honor of Dr. Seuss, who was the wizard of words.... Mt. Loafer had a very fun NERD day!

E i E i Oops!! Fabulous 2nd Grade Production!

These pictures only show part of this wonderful event.  The singing and dancing delighted the audience.  This is the 3rd year our 2nd grade has put on the now famous EiEiOops production.  It was great fun to not only watch this years group of 2nd graders sing and dance, but many of the 3rd and  4th grade classes sang along with them during the performance for the school.  Parents were treated to their own performance later in the day. This is a beloved tradition and THANK YOU 2nd grade teachers for treating us to this classic event every year!
